Dr. Wright is a specialist in Periodontics and Implantology. Dr. Wright and his team strive to make your visits with us as comfortable and pleasant as possible. We strongly believe that our patients’ comfort is an important part of quality care. Our mission is to gently treat all patients as if they were our only patient. Dr. Wright believes that your right to choose a dentist is an important freedom. We work closely as a team with your referring dentist, but a referral by a dentist is not required for a visit to our office.

We are extraordinarily proud of our staff, which is comprised of caring and dedicated professionals. They communicate well with the patients and each other, ensuring that the patient’s administrative, diagnostic and treatment needs are met as efficiently and smoothly as possible. Our goal is to make you feel comfortable and relaxed. We are here to listen to your questions and concerns and to help provide solutions leading to your better dental and general health. Dr. Thomas E. Wright III, D.D.S.

Periodontist

Dr. Tom Wright attended Tulane University and the University of Texas at Austin prior to entering the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston. He received his DDS degree in 1974 and completed his Periodontal Residency in 1976. As Chief Resident in 1976, he led the Clinical Research division of a National Institute of Health investigative study to examine the periodontal health of patients with defects in the immune system. Ongoing extensive training in Dental Implantology began in 1986 and continues currently.

Dr. Wright has been in a Private Practice Limited to Periodontics and Implantology since 1976 and is an adjunct Professor in the Department of Periodontics at the University of Texas Dental Branch.

He and his wife Debbie have five boys who have blessed them with 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. They enjoy travel and spending time in Brenham.

JOANNE

Office Manager

JoAnne has been in the dental field since 1989. She has been a part of our administrative team for over 7 years and is proficient in handling insurance claims. JoAnne and her husband Mike have been married for 29 years and live on a cattle ranch. They have three amazing adult children and she loves going to Disneyland with her daughter. She also has three granddogs: Carli, Wendy and Hank.

SAMANTHA

Administrative Assistant

Samantha grew up in Baton Rouge, LA and moved to Texas in 2016. She started working at Dr. Wright’s office as an administrative assistant in January 2018. She displays excellent customer service skills and loves helping our patients decide on the best financial options for their treatment. Samantha enjoys hunting, fishing, and escaping to the mountains with her husband, Hunter, and their pointer pup, Drake.

AMY

Registered Dental Assistant

Amy has been a registered dental assistant for sixteen years and a part of our practice throughout that time. She is exceptionally compassionate in helping our patients feel comfortable and at ease throughout their dental appointments. She has an immeasurable amount of management skills and is an asset as a competent periodontal and implant surgical assistant. Amy and her husband have three sons, ages 8-25, that continue to keep her very busy.

TERESIA

Registered Dental Assistant

Teresia has been one of Dr. Wright’s surgical assistants since she graduated from ACC in 2017. Teresia is able to inform and help our patients with multiple procedures within our practice and treats patients with the best bedside manner. On her days off, she enjoys golfing and fishing with her husband Robert. They are currently building their forever home in their hometown of Santa Fe, TX.

Ghazala

Registered Dental Assistant

As Dr. Wright’s newest assistant, Ghazala has several years of surgical experience in multiple clinical environments. Ghazala displays excellent patient care skills and thrives to treat each patient with compassion and understanding. Ghazala has two young sons, Grant and Tyler, whom she enjoys spending her free time adventuring around Houston.

KAREN

Registered Dental Hygienist

Karen has been a Registered Dental Hygienist for 42 years and she has been a valuable part of our team for 31 years. Karen is an exceptionally skilled and caring hygienist. She has a long list of dedicated patients who regard her as their friend. Karen has two children and three grandchildren she loves spending time with.

LORI

Registered Dental Hygienist

Lori is no stranger to dentistry. She has been a dental hygienist since 1988 and was a dental assistant for five years prior to that. She enjoys educating her patients and works hard to provide them with their best smile! Lori loves to travel with her husband Bendel, who is a retired pilot. Together they have four children and eight grandchildren.

TESSIE

Registered Dental Hygienist

Tessie has been working as a dental hygienist since graduating in 1986. She is patient, dedicated and hard working. She and her husband have been married since 1988 and have 3 beautiful daughters that have grown to be amazing professional young women. Tessie enjoys being with family, doing crafts, spending time outside in her gardens, and has a love for animals and riding horses.
